Planning a wedding or elopement is such an exciting season—but I also know it can feel overwhelming at times with all the decisions and details coming together.

My goal is to make the photography process feel simple, calm, and fully taken care of, so you can stay present in the moments that matter most instead of worrying about what’s next.

Here’s exactly what it looks like to work with me, from start to finish.

1. Inquiry & Availability

Most couples reach out through my website contact form or social media. Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll check availability for your wedding date. If I’m available, we’ll move forward with the next steps. If I’m already booked, I’m always happy to recommend another trusted photographer so you still have a great option for your day.

2. Connecting & Consultation (Including Pricing Discussion)

If your date is available, the next step is connecting and talking more about your wedding plans. This can be in person, over FaceTime, or on a phone call—whatever works best for you.

This is a relaxed conversation where I get to learn more about:

  • Your wedding plans
  • The overall feel of your day
  • The moments that matter most to you

It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and make sure I’m the right fit for your day. During this conversation, we’ll go over pricing and coverage options, so you have a clear understanding of what best fits your wedding or elopement before moving forward.

After we’ve talked everything through, I’ll begin preparing a proposal tailored to your day and what we discussed.

3. Custom Proposal

After our consultation, I’ll send over your custom proposal based on everything we discussed.

This outlines your selected coverage and all included details so you can review everything clearly and at your own pace. The proposal is designed to reflect your plans and make the next steps feel simple and straightforward.

Once you have reviewed and approved your proposal, we’ll move into the booking process.

4. Booking Your Date

To officially reserve your date, I'll send over a contract for you to review and sign.

Once your contract is signed, you'll have two booking options:

  • Option 1: Pay a 50% retainer to secure your date, with the remaining balance due 60 days before your wedding.
  • Option 2: Pay your wedding package in full at the time of booking and receive $100 off your collection.

Bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and are not fully secured until the signed contract and payment have been received.

5. Wedding Questionnaire

After your date has been officially booked, I’ll send over a detailed questionnaire to make sure every important detail is covered.

This includes:

  • Must-have photos
  • Family groupings
  • Timeline details
  • Wedding planner details (if applicable) or another main point of contact for the day that I can communicate with directly, so I’m not disturbing you on your special day

This allows everything to run smoothly so you can stay fully present and enjoy your day without worrying about logistics.

6. Planning & Timeline Help

Around two months before your wedding, we’ll go over your timeline in detail and coordinate with your wedding planner or coordinator if you have one. Then, about one month before your wedding, we’ll review everything once more to make sure all details are finalized and everything is set.

This can be done in person, through calls, or via email—whatever is easiest for you.

I guide you through things like:

  • Planning portrait timing for the best light
  • Creating a smooth, relaxed flow for your photos
  • Making sure we account for your most important moments and desired shots
  • Building a detailed shot list so nothing important is missed

The goal is to create a timeline that feels calm, intentional, and seamless.

7. Your Wedding Day

When your wedding day arrives, my focus is simple: capturing your day as it naturally unfolds. I’ll gently guide you when needed so nothing feels awkward or forced, while also stepping back to document the candid, in-between moments that make your day yours.

My goal is for you to stay fully present in every part of your day—laughing, soaking it in, and living it—while I quietly preserve the moments you’ll want to relive for years to come.

8. Editing & Gallery Delivery

After your wedding, I carefully select and edit your images in my signature style to reflect the feeling and story of your day.

You can expect:

  • Sneak peeks (if included in your collection)
  • A full online gallery delivered within your timeline (6–8 weeks for weddings, 4–6 weeks for elopements), carefully edited and ready to download, share, and print

9. Your Photos Beyond the Wedding Day

Your photos aren’t just for your wedding day—they’re something you’ll come back to for years to come.

Many couples choose to turn their images into albums, prints, and keepsakes so they can relive their day in a tangible way.

I offer guidance on printing so your images don’t just live on a screen—they become part of your home and your story. Prints can also be purchased directly through my storefront for a seamless experience.

Final Note

Your wedding or elopement is such a meaningful part of your story, and I truly love being able to document that for my couples.

If you’re planning a wedding or elopement in the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas and are looking for photography that feels natural, calm, and true to your day, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
